Palo Alto Networks® (NYSE: PANW), the network security company™, today announced that the company’s research team was credited with the discovery of three distinct critical vulnerabilities in the latest release of Microsoft Internet Explorer.  The vulnerabilities (CVE-2013-3915, CVE-2013-3916, CVE-2013-3917) are three of 10 vulnerabilities documented on Nov. 12, 2013 in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS13-088.

These vulnerabilities could enable a cybercriminal to lure an unsuspecting Internet Explorer user into clicking on an infected link that could give the attacker control of the user’s browser and user privileges. The vulnerabilities impact versions 6 through 11 of Internet Explorer, which means they are not only critical, but the scope of affected users is large.
