Palo Alto Networks has allowed the University of Portsmouth to receive 10 times more bandwidth from Jisc’s network, Janet, the United Kingdom's high-speed network for U.K. research and education community, and access a wide range of services such as videoconferencing, web mail, ISP, and research services. The visibility and access control by use of Palo Alto Networks is enabling the university to better protect users and intellectual property and manage security policies. The security platform was installed by Khipu Networks, a longtime Palo Alto Networks NextWave Platinum Partner, Authorised Service Centre (ASC) and Certified Professional Services Partner (CPSP) which designed and maintains the university's security infrastructure.
The University of Portsmouth recognizes the advantages of the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform, which consists of a Next-Generation Firewall, Threat Intelligence Cloud, and Advanced Endpoint Protection.
